For Whom?
Documentary film companies and historical authors comprise a large segment of our client list. For authors, our unique file-naming system provides all information necessary for proper citations for each page or photo we copy. Corporations have used our services to research their corporate history, and we help people from all walks of life research family history or subjects for school.
How?
To capture still images (documents or photographs), we use a Nikon D3000 (10.2 megapixels) with a remote control and camera stand for consistency. While most facilities charge from 25c to 50c per page for photocopying, we only charge 15c per page for high-quality, enhanced digital copies.
Video footage is provided with no additional charges beyond our researcher's rate. We also provide all necessary research to determine rights and permissions for all video clips. At facilities that do not have copying capabilities, research-quality video is captured with a Sony DCR-SR42 digital video camera recorder.
The Leonard Group offers timely downloading of all captured digital pages or video clips from our web site at no additional charge.
Broadcast-quality video can only be provided by facility-approved vendors. We can arrange for copies to be made.
