Salvage efforts during WWII at Pearl Harbor
We were tasked with researching and writing a report on the salvage efforts during WWII at both Pearl Harbor and Puget Sound after the Japanese attack. Specifically, the author wanted data on two boats that were attacked but later restored to service: the USS California and the USS West Virginia. We researched military records and photos.
Facilities: NARA, Naval Historical Center
Result: The project produced approximately 700 digital images and a 49-page written report.
